For me, going truly low carb makes a difference. I am happy that official WW people are finding what I'm doing to make sense, if only for awhile. I haven't lost one pound and use that as motivation to keep moving. I think Medifast does not teach you what "is" healthy food but does have important lessons about the timing of food intake. It wasn't just weight creeping up, it was that I didn't feel well eating like I did when I was younger. I gave myself the night off and sat down to dinner with friends, enjoying a glass of very good wine and a small, low-calorie dessert with dinner.
